Cross Culture is a church of all ages – a community of believers in Jesus who love doing life together. History

In 2012, Mark and Sharon stepped out in obedience to God’s call and embarked on a remarkable journey alongside a dedicated group of friends and family to establish Cross Culture Church in Perth. This marked the inception of an unwavering commitment that continues to this day.

Mark and Sharon boast a rich tapestry of experience in the ministry, tracing its roots back to South Africa, where they served in full and part-time ministry for numerous years. In 2004, they made the move to Perth, where they contributed as elders in a church plant before branching out to the northern suburbs of the city.

In addition to their roles in leading the church, Mark plays an integral part in Christian education, while Sharon serves as a medical secretary. Their shared passion revolves around nurturing a vibrant local church where authentic, living faith flourishes within a close-knit community. They firmly believe that the gospel holds the power to shape every facet of life, and they are committed to shepherding a church that is a warm and welcoming home to all.

While still serving on the Eldership team, in January 2024 Mark and Sharon handed over the leadership of Cross Culture Church to Jon-Mark and Keren.

Our focus

Upward – as a church, we love to worship Jesus, hear God’s word, and follow His voice by the Holy Spirit.

Inward – we are also big on being together as friends and strengthening relationships within our church community.

Outward – we believe we are called to love our God and to love our neighbours (Mark 12:30-31) and to see His Kingdom come in the community and the nations of the world.
